Abstract:

Travel views taken on a tour of the Southwestern United States and California. Includes many photographs of Native Americans, most likely Navajo, in traditional attire, posing individually or in groups, some with traditional pottery and blankets, at train stations, near their dwellings and at other locations. One image shows a Navajo woman weaving at a loom. Also depicted are a hunter with many dead rabbits and other prey on display; a woman posing with a bicycle; two scenes with people posing with a horse drawn carriage; and an automobile possibly used by the tourists. Also includes a photograph of a monument of the Spanish American War, erected in 1900, in Los Angeles' Pershing Square. Robison and/or his travel companions may be depicted in a few images.
